JUNIOR
STAFF
APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS
Junior
Staff: This group of staff members typically consists of
alumni under the age of 21 (must be at least a high school
senior to apply). Junior staff members serve as facilitators
for small groups. Each junior staff member is assigned to
a small group. Small groups are led by one senior and one
junior facilitator. Junior facilitators will be responsible
for facilitating interaction within the groups, leading
icebreakers, assisting and tracking ambassadors, maintaining
group related paperwork, helping coordinate moderators and
introduces for panels, and much, much more!
Application
Process: Junior staff applicants will be required to complete
the Application for Junior Staff 2008. Late applications
will only be considered if there are positions remaining.
A minimum of 16 alumni will be accepted. Applications
are reviewed and scored by the Staff Selection Committee.
Applications must be received by April 4, 2008. Notifications
will be sent out via e-mail (or by mail if you do not have
e-mail access) by April 8, 2008.
Jared
Ciesla is the Director of Facilitators for the 2008 WV HOBY
Seminar. As Director of Facilitators, Jared will be the
primary point-of-contact for all staff. He will send you
seminar related communications, staff packets and provide
staff training on Wednesday night before the seminar. Once
at seminar, Jared will direct all of the junior and senior
facilitators.
Each and every HOBY is a great candidate, a hard worker
and a leader in their community! The decisions made
by the Staff Selection Committee are not made lightly. We
value you and hope that you will continue your involvement
in WV HOBY for years to come. You are the future of this
organization.
