Spring Fling is an annual event hosted by the West Virginia Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Alumni Association (WV HOBYAA).  This year's event will be combined with a CLEW at West Virginia University for an all-inclusive HOBY weekend!

We will kick-off Spring Fling weekend at the West Virginia University Mountainlair. The WVU HOBY Club is organizing a CLEW for high school sophomores from several local area schools. Spring Fling participants will have the option of participating as CLEW staff, working on Seminar projects, or just hanging out. A State Committee meeting will also be held during the CLEW to discuss the latest seminar planning efforts.

After the CLEW is over, everyone will head out to Chestnut Ridge Park. Dinner will be served immediately upon arrival. We have three cabins and a large meeting area reserved at the park. All under 21 participants will be staying in the Klaer Lodge. A separate cabin will be designated for 21 and over participants that do not want to stay in the lodge.

The rest of the weekend is an opportunity for you to spend quality time with your HOBY friends. There is no formal agenda for the remainder of the event. We'll eat, watch movies and just hang out together as friends. The lodge is a cozy retreat. This is an opportunity for us to take time out of our busy schedules and spend time with each other. This event is intended for all HOBYs - not just the newest members of our HOBY family.

SPECIAL EVENT INSTRUCTIONS: A shuttle bus will provide transportation between Chestnut Ridge Park and the WVU Mountainlair. All event participants planning to attend both the CLEW and Spring Fling should plan to utilize this service. HOBY International rules prohibit alumni and volunteers from driving or riding in personal vehicles during a HOBY event. The shuttle will depart Chestnut Ridge Park at 8:15 am on Saturday, March 25th.

EVENT REGISTRATION
(1) Reserve your spot online. This gives an approximate number of attendees for planning purposes. This is not your official event registration.

(2) After you reserve your spot, you will be directed to the registration page where you will need to download, complete (including notarization) and mail in THE PAPERWORK.  The paperwork needs to be mailed with a $30 check or money order made out to WV HOBYAA as soon as possible.
